Chris Potter is a BRIT Award winning and Grammy nominated producer and mixer, best known for his work on The Verve's #1seminal album 'Urban Hymns', which features the classic singles 'Bittersweet Symphony' (2 billion streams), 'Lucky Man' (300 million streams), 'Sonnet' (100 million) and the #1 single 'The Drugs Don't Work' (275 million). The album is the 17th biggest selling album of all time in the UK. So far, it has sold a massive 10 million copies worldwide and is considered a British rock classic. Chris also produced the band's #1 comeback album 'Forth', including the singles 'Love Is Noise' (40 million streams) and 'Rather Be' (7.5 million streams).
Subsequently, Chris has worked extensively with Richard Ashcroft on his solo career, including four top 3 albums - the #1 Mercury nominated album 'Alone with Everybody' (including the hit singles 'A Song for the Lovers', 'Money to Burn' and 'C'mon People (We're Making It Now)', 'Human Conditions' (featuring the singles 'Check the Meaning', 'Science of Silence' and 'Buy It in Bottles'), 'Keys to the World' (including the singles 'Break the Night with Colour', 'Music Is Power' and 'Words Just Get in the Way') and 'These People' (including the singles 'This Is How It Feels', 'Hold On', 'They Don't Own Me'). This year, Chris finished producing and mixing Richard's latest solo album 'Acoustic Hymns Vol 1', his highest charting album since 'Alone With Everybody', peaking at #2 on the UK albums chart. The album includes his much lauded duet with Liam Gallagher, 'C'Mon People (We're Making It Now)', which peaked on the A-list at BBC Radio 2.
Alongside his work with The Verve and Richard Ashcroft, Chris has worked on three albums for The Rolling Stones, including the UK #2 and US #3 album 'Steel Wheels' which was certified 2x platinum, U2's 'Popmart', Blur's 'Black Book' and The Feeling's #2 platinum selling debut album 'Twelve Stops and Home' (including the hit singles 'Fill My Little World' and 'Rosé').
His other credits include tracks for Passenger, I Am Kloot, Keane, Jack Savoretti, The Rifles, Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens), Archive, Heather Nova, White Belt Yellow Tag, Sound of Guns, The Chakras, Mick Jagger, Whale, Mega City Four, Psychedelic Furs.
