CMD/CTRL are a new duo on the Z Management roster, made up of Matt Rose and Alex Cowan. Matt and Alex are writers, lyricists, producers, mixers and multi-instrumentalists (keys, guitars, synths, bass, vocals). "They unapologetically make music with no boundaries that is bass driven with a basis in dance, electronica and pop."

After forming in 2018, CMD/CTRL signed to Just Isn't Music/Ninja Tune. Matt Rose hails from the bands The Qemists and Monuments and enjoyed success with Dirtyphonics on their "Write Your Future" EP, released on Steve Aioki's Dimmak label. This also led to a collaboration with Bass Music heavyweight Excision. Alex Cowan signed as a producer/ songwriter under the guises TM-Juke and LOYAL as well as producing and co-writing three albums for acclaimed British soul singer Alice Russell (Tru Thoughts) alongside remixing and producing for the likes of David Guetta x Black Coffee, NO1-NOAH, Coldcut and releases on labels such as Defected, Kitsune and earned himself BBC Radio's Hottest Record with Let The Machines Do The Work.

CMD/CTRL are currently signed to Christian Tattersfield and Nick Raphael's label / publishing company NWS. They have recently worked with / have tracks on hold with Tiesto, Wilkinson, A Little Sound and S.P.Y. CMD/CTRL have also landed simpressive sync placements with brands such as Sky, Ford, BMW, Nintendo, Adidas, EA Sports, O2 and Samsung.

We are looking for new writing opportunities and to place some of their toplines on to dance pitches.

CMD/CTRL are based out of Metway Studios, Brighton, a great space to welcome artists and collaborations.
